Asexual reproduction is uni-parental whereas sexual reproduction is bi-parental

sexually reproducing species would have more chance of survival as variations are found in those species

dharshineemurap4qo7y: Asexual reproduction don't involves gametes while sexual reproduction does.organisms that are identical are placed in the same niches.since asexual reproduction produces identical offsprings organisms of same species are placed in the same niche.if some drastic change occurs all the organisms of that niche gets wiped out .this acts as a survival disadvantage. In case of sexual reproduction, diversity of organisms are present due to variations.this allows them to sustain in various means.

The major difference between “sexual and asexual” reproduction is given below:

Sexual reproduction:

1. It involves only one parent.

2. Does not require ‘production or fusion’ of gametes.

3. The offspring are identical to the parent.

Asexual Reproduction:

1. It involves two parents.

2. It requires ‘production and fusion’ of gametes.

3. Produces a genetically unique parent.

The organism that is born through sexual reproduction is more stable because, while a fusion of two different organisms, there occurs a lot of errors which forms a genetically unique organism that has more chance of survival in nature.
