Ladakh is cold & dry and is totally different from the warm Kerala environment. Ladakh has a very pleasant to very challenging climate. The summers can get a little harsh where  direct sunlight falls from "high altitudes". Winters can be dry, with "freezing temperatures". Kerala is primarily prone to the form of hot tropical rainy weather in most rain-forest areas of the world. Kerala falls in the tropic zone. In the meantime, Kerala 's extreme eastern fronts experience a drier, more tropical wet & dry climate. Kerala's rains are mostly the result of seasonal monsoons
