when there is change of state of a substance, heat energy is absorbed by the substance or heat energy is removed from substance at constant temperature this heat energy is called latent heat of transition.
latent heat per unit mass of the circle is called the specific I need the amount of heat energy observed at constant temperature by it mass of a solid to convert into liquid phase is called specific latent heat of fusion, and at constant temperature is called the melting point of the substance.
amount of heat energy required at constant temperature by unit mass of a liquid to convert into gaseous phase is called the specific latent heat of vaporization and that constant in region is called the boiling point of the substance .
