Transfer of the Capital(1326-1327):

Mohammad bin Tughlaq decided to shift his capital from Delhi to Devgiri in the South., and he had named it as Daulatabad. It was supposed to be nearer to the centre of the country. His plan was good,but he did not forsee the invasions of Mongols on Delhi. He could not control the rapid invasions of Mongols on Delhi. So after one year he shifted his capital back to Delhi.
