Heya !!

\text{Here, Given 2 rational No's. are -2 and -3}\\\\\text{To find a rational no. between two rational no's., use this formula $\dfrac{a+b}{2}$.}\\\\\therefore \: \text{A rational no. between -2 and -3 is $\dfrac{-2-3}{2}$}\\\\= - \dfrac{5}{2}

Hope it helps !!

When you want to insert rational numbers between given pair of rational numbers then you may apply the below mentioned formula:

\bold{\frac{a+b}{c+d} }  , where ' a ' and ' b ' are the numerators of the given two rational numbers and ' c ' and ' d ' are the denominators of the given two rational numbers.

But, in this case rather than apply the above mentioned formula we can simply write the numbers present between - 3 and - 2.

\large\underline\bold{Solution:\longrightarrow}

- 3 < - 2

Now simply find the numbers between the given pair.

The numbers in between - 3 and - 2 are - 2.1 , - 2.2 , - 2.3 , 2.4 , - 2.8 , etc.

Hence,

- 3 < - 2.9 < - 2.8 < - 2.2 < - 2

Note: There can be infinite number of rational numbers between given rational numbers.
