(1) A lenticel is a kind of absorbent tissue that is made of large intercellular spaces and cells at the periderm of secondarily thickened plant organs and the bark of roots and woody stems and also in dicotyledonous plants that bear flowers.
(2) Fermentation is a purely metabolic process which induces chemical reactions in organic substrates by using enzymes.
