Once a prominent hunting ground of the British, the Jim Corbett Park was set up in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. With the assistance of the World Wildlife Fund, Project Tiger was propelled in Jim Corbett National Park in 1973 to secure the most jeopardized species tigers and this park was one of the primary such tiger holds in India. Presently Jim Corbett Park is a noteworthy eco-tourism destination.
