The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistical tool used to measure a country's overall achievement in its social and economic dimensions. The social and economic dimensions of a country are based on the health of people, their level of education attainment and their standard of living. The health aspect of the HDI is measured by the life expectancy, as calculated at the time of birth, in each country, normalized so that this component is equal to 0 when life expectancy is 20 and equal to 1 when life expectancy is 85. 2

Explanation:

* HDI is helpful in comparing and understanding the level of development of countries of the world.

* It measures the average achievement in basic three dimensions of human development, i.e, 1). Long and healthy life

2). Education 3). Standard of living (Per capita Income).

Sorry because i am only in 10th standard and i know only this.

So I hope you understand.

Thanks
