let x = 0.333333... (1)

10x =3.333333...(2)

subtracting (1) from (2)

9x =3.o

x= 1/3= o.3333333


Abiragya: right answer is this. Take x = 0.3 bar

Hence, x = 0.33333333…. - eqn (a)

Now, 10x = 3.33333333….. -eqn (b)

Hence, taking eqn(b) - eqn(a); we have

9x = 3

Hence, x = 1/3.

=> 10x = 3.333 ---------(2)

⭐ On subtracting eq(1) from (2) we get,

=> 10x -x = 3
=> 9x = 3
=> x = 3/9
=> x = 1/3

Hence, p/q form of 0.333...... is 1/3.
