Explanation:

We plan a family vacation every year. This year, we planned to visit the famous hill resort, Shimla. Shimla is one of the attractive tourist spots in India. One of our family friends suggested us to visit Shimla since they enjoyed the place very much. We planned a trip and stayed in Shimla for a week. The accommodation was simply awesome and we started for trekking after a short nap. We enjoyed Chadwick Falls, Jakhoo Temple, Dhanu Devta Temple and Tara Devi Temple. We visited the Famous Gaiety Theatre; the Architecture of many buildings in Shimla is simply overwhelming. The best part of the vacation is the Yak Ride at Kufri, a place 16 km from Shimla.

Answer:

If you are looking or planning for a hassle-free holiday then Shimla is  the right destination for a relaxing vacation.Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts. It is also an adventure hub that offers training and facilities for exciting winter sports like ice skating and skiing. That is why it is also known as the winter sports capital of India. Since Kufri experiences regular snowfall in winter, it ranks top among the places to visit in Shimla in December. It is quite a popular destination for its Victorian architecture, which can be witnessed in a certain section of the Ridge and the Mall. Shimla is also known as one of the ideal places of interest for the honeymooners. The cool and pleasant climate of Shimla makes it a renowned summer retreat.

Being one of the most sought-after vacation destinations, Shimla is known as Queen of the Hills for its beauty. It used to be a summer capital during the reign of the British Raj. The city is nestled by the foothills of the Himalayas.
