Description of my town as a part of magazine article:
I love my picturesque home town Pollachi. It is a small town situated in the 'Coimbatore district' of Tamil Nadu and is a District Headquarters. Nestled in between picturesque hills, the place is full of greenery and remains untouched by commercialization.
There are a number of places of interest in and around Pollachi. The 'Anamalai Tiger Reserve' is a must-watch spot. It is a tiger reserve, home to many tigers. Another attraction is the Top Slip, which has cottages atop the mountain range and a number of elephants can be sighted. The local temples are added attractions with rich histories.
Pollachi is famous for jaggery, cattle and various fresh vegetables. The climate is pleasant all through the year and the town is always bustling with activity. The people are very friendly and respectful. It is definitely a tourist spot 'worth visiting'.
I hail from Indore, which is also known as ‘mini mumbai’ and rightly so!
Indore has got most of the facilities that a big metro city has. Indore is a city of Holkars and comes in the Malwa Plateu, which makes its climate pleasant for the residents as well as for the visitors.
Indore is famous for its food, especially ‘namkeen’ and ‘poha-jalebi’ breakfast. It is a culturally rich city, with decent places to see.
People are friendly and cooperative. I love my city and I would like to invite all fellow readers to Indore.
Indore is anxiously waiting for you!
