We're going to miss the flight!" No, we'll make it hold on tight!
Ma is driving like an elephant in a rage,
Pa is bawling loudly, forgetting his age We go charging down the road as the tyres squeal, Ma's like Schumacher behind the wheel!
The other cars move like snails plodding through the rain, But we can't trudge along or we'll miss our planel The clouds have gobbled up the sun and all its light, But Ma's in no mood to give up without a fight! Headlights on, seatbelts tight, wipers going zick-zick, I feel like I'm in the middle of an action flick!
Ma giggles, Pa weeps, holding the edge of his seat, But Ma just chuckles and asks for something to eat! She drives with one hand and munches cookies in the other, Oh God, what has happened to my usually sane mother?
Suddenly Ma brakes and I stare around, in a daze, We're here!" she shouts, a big grin on her face We've made it! I can hardly believe my eyes! Ma's beaming happily, she's now chomping on fries.)
