HERE IS YOUR ANSWER,

Properties of colloids:

●A colloid is a heterogeneous mixture.

●The size of the solute particles in a colloid is bigger than in a solution, but smaller than in a suspension.

●They are between 1 nm and 1000 nm in diameter.

●The solute particles present in a colloidal solution cannot be seen even with a microscope. As the size of the particles present in colloids is quite large, they scatter the beam of light passing through them.

●The solute particles of a colloid cannot be filtered using a filter paper.

●Colloids are quite stable. Their particles do not settle down when left undisturbed.

Answer:

General properties of colloidal systems are as follows:

(1) Colloidal system is heterogeneous and consists of two phases, dispersed phase and dispersion medium.

(2) The dispersed phase particles pass slowly through parchment paper or animal membrane, but readily pass through ordinary filter paper.

(3) The colloidal systems exhibit optical property like Tyndal effect, kinetic property like Brownian motion, electrical properties like electrophoresis a colour.
