Total Resistance, R = ( 12 + 8 ) Ω = 20 Ω

Thus, total Current, I = V/R = 20V/20Ω = 1 A

_______________

Now,

 \boxed{ \red{ \sf v}}

=  \sf IR_1

= 1 A × 12 Ω

= ( 1 × 12 ) V

= 12 V

_______________

And,

 \boxed{\sf v}

=  \sf IR_2

= 1 A × 8 Ω

= ( 1 × 8 ) V

= 8 V
