Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I draw the readers attention to the bad conditions of road & reckless driving & accidents in our area.
The condition of the G. T. road near Howrah is so deplorable with so many pits on it that it is always a danger to the traffic. But the buses, lorries, taxis & minibuses are running at the break-neck speed causing terror to the passerby. At 10 o'clock, In the road two Lory's are driven by drivers. Suddenly, one Lory has fail the break & push each other. The driver very often try to overtake other buses & lorries & collide with one another. Hardly a day passes without a serious accident. The death toll is increasing day by day.
I feel that authorities should take a necessary steps to repair the roads & stop reckless driving at the same time.
