A Talathi office is there in the rural parts of India especially in Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra that helps the Patil in collecting the village revenue.
Hence, I visited my Talathi office for finding some details pertaining to our family.
There are two to three people who work in such an office.
They are all village accountants who keep details of the collected revenue.
In the office, the compilation of all revenue is done that is collected from throughout the village and a report is made for it.
Sometimes, when there is bad weather, collection suffers as villagers may not be in a position to pay revenue.
They also acknowledge people or parties who pay their revenue on time.
