The television show that I like the most is Indian Idol. The show started in 2004 on Sony Entertainment Television and since then has gained immense popularity as one of the best reality shows and television shows. It has completed its season 10 in 2018.
Indian Idol is a reality show which caters to music. It is a music competition and participants sing in front of a team of judges who choose participants according to their performance based on their voice, choice of song, musical notes like sur and taal etc. Every episode has an elimination who is goes home. Over the years many popular singers, composers, lyricists like Sonu Nigam, Farah Khan, Anu Malik, Javed Akhtar, Udit Narayan, Alisha Chenoy, Salim Merchant, Sunidhi Chauhan etc have been judges of the show who made it even more popular. Some of the indian Idol winners have also released their own albums and have become professional singers like Sriramachandra Mynampati, who became playback singer in Tollywood movies.
I love watching Indian Idol as it is a platform where real, genuine talent is encouraged. Judges hone the talent of the singers in a very productive manner which actually benefit the singers in improving their skills better.
