A.INTRODUCTION: Political institutions are the organizations in a government which create, impose, and apply laws.

The need for political institutions in a country are:-

1. To take decisions .

2. To collect tax and to maintain administration .

3. To settle disputes

CONCLUSION: Thus, political institutions are the important part of our constitution.

Q. Which of the two houses is more powerful?

A.INTRODUCTION: The Parliament consist of two houses, The Lok Sabha and The Rajya Sabha.

Lok Sabha is more powerful among the two houses. As:-

1. Whenever there are disagreements over any bill joint session is conducted, but due to being more in number, the decision of Lok Sabha mostly prevails.

2. Lok Sabha has more powers in money matters as the budget originates in the Lok Sabha and once passed by it cannot be rejected by Rajya Sabha.

3. Lok Sabha has control over the council of ministers as they are responsible to the Lok Sabha.

CONCLUSION: Thus, Lok Sabha is more powerful than Rajya Sabha.

A.INTRODUCTION: Government formed when two or more parties with less seats come together to form government is known as coalition government.

Three limitations are:-

1.  The decisions take a lot of time as each party must agree uniformly.

2. When ever they wish they break down their running institution.

3. There is always conflict within the government due to non consensus.

CONCLUSION: Thus ,coalition government has some limitations. It should not cross them.

We need a Parliament because:-

1. To make new laws for the country.

2. To control the executive organ of the government.

3.To ensure that you have freedom of speech, movements and association.

4. To ensure that there is no misuse of authority by elected leaders.

5. It keeps financial control over the government's income.

CONCLUSION: Thus, parliament is very important for our country. Without it our democracy would collapse.

A.Judiciary is the branch of authority in a country which is concerned with law and the legal system.

Independence of Judiciary means that the judiciary system of a country would be free from the influence and control of the executive and the legislative of government.

Prime Minister can be called as the most important political institution in a country as:-

1. It is the real executive head of the state.

2. The prime minister persists as the administrator of the cabinet of ministers and the cabinet ministers cannot operate when the prime minister abdicates or dies.

3. He is the director of the Planning Commission, National Integration Council,  National Development Council, and Inter-State Council.

4. He also performs a notable role in developing the international policy of the nation.

5.The prime minister exercises the following authorities as the leader of the Union Council of ministers:-

i. He advocates about the persons who can be selected as ministers by the president.

ii. He directs over the gathering of the council of ministers and guides its resolutions.

iii. He can charge a minister to abdicate or urge the president to replace him in case of disagreement of opinion.
