Artesian wells?
Answers
Wells:
Wells are one of the cheapest form of irrigation. A well is a hole dug under ground, around which an embankment (of cement) is usually built. The advantages of well irrigation is that, farmers can use water from the well whenever they want.
Tube Wells:
A tube well is a type of water well in which a long, 100–200 millimetres (3.9–7.9 in)-wide, stainless steel tube or pipe is bored into an underground aquifer. The lower end is fitted with a strainer, and a pump lifts water for irrigation. The required depth of the well depends on the depth of the water table.
Artesian wells:
An artesian aquifer is a confined aquifer containing groundwater under positive pressure. ... A well drilled into such an aquifer is called an artesian well. If water reaches the ground surface under the natural pressure of the aquifer, the well is termed a flowing artesian well.
