It comprises a total of twelve coral attols, five banks, three coral reef and several islets. out of the 36 islands only ten are inhabited they are Andrott, Amini, Agatti, Bitra, Chetlat, Kadmat, Kalpeni, Kawaratti Kiltan and Minicoy.

Answer: Lakshadweep island lie close to malbar coast of Kerala. It is composed of small coral island that is Laccadive, Minicoy , Amindive. It cover small area of 32 sq km. This island have great diversity of flora and fauna .
