Answer:

QUESTION⬇️

write a short note about temperature scale.

ANSWER⬇️

Temperature is measured using different scales. In a temperature scale two reference temperatures are chosen (most commonly, the freezing and boiling point of water) and the difference between those two is broken down into a certain number of divisions l.Each division is taken as one unit of the scale.the commonly used scales are the

  • Celsius scale
  • Farenheit scale and
  • kelvin scale.

Celsius scale:-

This scale was developed by Ander Celsius. The unit of this scale is °C.On this scale, the divisions fall between the freezing point of water taken as 0°C and the boiling point of water is taken as 100°C . 0°C is also called the upper fixed point. There are 100 divisions between these two points.

Farenheit scale:-

This scale was developed by Daniel Gabriel Farenheit. The unit of this scale is °F.On this scale the freezing point is taken as 32°F and the boiling point of water is taken as 212°F and the upper fixed point is 212°F.There are 180 divisions between these two points.

Kelvin scale:-

This scale was invented by Lord Kelvin. The unit of this scale is K.On this scale the freezing point of water is taken as 273K and the boiling point of water is taken as

373K .It is called the absolute scale of temperature since its 0 K is the absolute zero, that is ,the lowest attainable temperature in the universe.

hope it helps :)
