Self Help Groups (SHG) are formed by poor and rural women. They help the borrowers to overcome the problem of lack of collateral. They also help the rural people (especially women) to became financially self reliant and provide a platform to hold regular meetings and thus, discuss issues such as health nutrition.

A typical SHG has 15-20 members who belongs to neighborhoods.
