The sun is about 150 million kilometres away from earth. (b) The moon is the only natural satellite of our planet earth. Its diameter is just about a quarter of the earth's diameter. It is comparatively close(3,84,400 kilometres away) to earth than all other celestial bodies.

Sun:The Sun is a star which is located at the center of our solar system. It is a yellow dwarf star. It gives off energy as light. That includes light, infra-red energy (heat), ultraviolet light and radio waves.

Moon: Our moon is about a quarter the size of the Earth. Because it is far away it looks small, about half a degree wide. The gravity on the moon is one-sixth of the Earth's gravity.
