Baantu people r those who are the member of an indigenous people or a tribe of central and southern Africa that speaks a Bantu language. They inhabit a geographical area stretching east and southward from Central Africa across the African Great Lakes region down to Southern Africa.
1.Population-Bantu groups together have more than 30 million of population in Africa.
2.Culture-a.They are dispersed in all over Africa.They believe in more than one God and people.They also believed in smaller deities, charms that influenced the daily affairs of the people. They believe in life after death.There is a strange belief in their religion is that ghosts go on living only as long as people remember them.
b.The man is the head of house and has many wives and chief of their groups are selected on hereditary basis
3.Occupation-Earlier they used to live a nomadic life but now they practise agriculture and hunting.Women usually do agriculture work and man go for hunting.
