Biodiversity is derived from biological diversity.It refers to the variety of life on the Earth and the variety of species present in different ecosystems.It also refers to genetic and cultural diversity.It is a combination of living beings and their interaction with each other and with rest of the environment.Protecting biodiversity is important to sustain human life.
