Environmental deterioration is the degradation of environment by the depletion of resources like air, soil and water including the destruction of ecosystems and the habitat, wildlife extinction and the pollution.

The reasons for deterioration include -

• The exhaust gas from the factories or the chimneys and the auto-emissions.
• Cutting trees at a large level or deforestation
• Releasing the chemical effluents.  
• Transport modes that led to air pollution.
• Unplanned construction at areas
• Various secondary pollutants and
• Few defective agricultural policies.
