there are many times in history regards to feminism. for example the suffragettes were feminists in regards to women not allowed to vote and not having the same rights as men at the time.they protested in many ways.one of the ways they rebelled was that when they were taken into prison they would then go on a hunger strike meaning they would refuse to eat food. this costed their lives but they were determined to do what ever they can for this cause. but later the prisons decided to force feed them because if they let them die through the cause of the hunger strike they have a bad reputation as a prison.
