=) Forts are defined as the monuments that's made strong and secure enough to be defended during a war . Forts are usually surrounded by walls, ditches, and other defensive troops . Forts are also known as Durgs in hindi . Forts are usually made of earthen ramparts . They built their so-called idjangs on hills and elevated areas .

A short note on Forts:

• What is a fort ? A fort is a building which is build for defense protecting a  territory.

• When military groups fight they acquire certain territories they build forts on that area to check if other enemies are coming to acquire the same territory. If they are people stay on top of the forts to attack the enemies. Without the enemies seeing them.

• Forts have very much importance in history. They teach us many lessons.

• Many brave soldiers have lost their lives protecting their territories who stay in the forts.

• Some of the famous forts which are big tourist attractions right now in the world are Red Fort - India, Galle Fort - Sri Lanka, Malbork Castle -Poland.
