Explanation:

The Golgi apparatus, also called Golgi complex or Golgi body, is a membrane-bound organelle found in eukaryotic cells (cells with clearly defined nuclei) that is made up of a series of flattened stacked pouches called cisternae. It is located in the cytoplasm next to the endoplasmic reticulum and near the cell nucleus.

It was discovered by Camillo Golgi in 1898.These are membranous bag like structures. There are some fluid filled vesciles along its edges and around it.The proteins synthesized by ribosomes are sent to the to the golgi body for packing in vesicles before transport to other sites inside the cell,or outside it.The number of golgi bodies vary from cell to cell.Sectery cells often have large numbers of them.
