Hydroelectricity is electricity made by generators that are pushed by movement of water. It is usually made with dams that block a river to make a reservoir or collect water that is pumped there. When the water is released, the pressure behind the dam forces the water down pipes that lead to a turbine.Hydropower plants capture the energy of falling water to generate electricity. A turbine converts the kinetic energy of falling water into mechanical energy. Then a generator converts the mechanical energy from the turbine into electrical energy.

here is ur answer ⏬⏬⏬⏬

✳ Hydropower or hydroelectricity refers to the conversion of energy from flowing water into electricity. It is considered a renewable energy source because the water cycle is constantly renewed by the sun[1].

Historically, one of the first uses of hydro power was for mechanical milling, such as grinding grains[2]. Today, modern hydro plants produce electricity using turbines and generators, where mechanical energy is created when moving water spins rotors on a turbine.  This turbine is connected to an electromagnetic generator, which produce electricitywhen the turbine spins.

Hydro plant facilities can be categorized into three sizes: large (>30 MW), small (100 kW - 30 MW), or micro (<100 kW)[3].

I hope it's help u ✌✌✌✌✌✴✴✳
