About 200 Snow leopards,an endangered species are believed to live in Ladakh. There are a few Lynx in Ladakh's wilder areas and also the Pallas”cats. Among smaller animals, marmots are common. Hemis National Park is very famous for wild animals. One can spot the Ibex,Blue Sheep, Shapo (Ladakh Urial), Tibetan Argali, Red fox, and Marmot etc.
