Hello dear!!

Newlands Law of Octaves. In 1864,Newlands made an attempt to classify elements. ... So he called this relation ship as the Law of octaves. According to Newlands'law of octaves when the elements are arranged in order of increasing atomic weights then every eighth element has properties similar to that of the first element

newlands law of octave states that if we arrange the elements in a groups of 8 in increasing order of their atomic weights then the first element repeats the properties of eight element . this law is also known as law of musical notes .
this law was rejected because it was applicable upto a certain element and when new elements were discovered they did not follow the same criteria .
