Water literacy is the need of the hour and the government should set up rain water harvesting centres in every district, activist Sri Padre has said. He was speaking on the concluding day of a two-day seminar on ‘Jalavartamana-Nalina Bhavishya’ held at Nisarga Jnana Kendra Kalave recently, according to a report on Thursday.
The government should seriously take the issue of awareness about water conservation.
A few service minded activists were working for the cause in villages by whose efforts rain water harvesting methods were being implemented there, he said.
