Habit is something which a person does on a regular basis. Repeating something regularly with free will and consent is known as a habit.

Habits may be of two types:

1) Good habits

2) Bad habits

Good habits are those which prove to be either beneficial for a person or if not beneficial then these don't prove to be bad for the person. These include reading, exercising, swimming, etc.

Bad habits are those which are not good for a person's physical or mental health. These habits include alcohol consumption, drug addiction, etc.
