Directive principles of state policy denotes the ideal of state should kept in mind while formulating policies and enacting laws. It constitutes a very comprehensive economic, social and political programme for a modern democratic state. It aim at realising the high ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity which mentioned in preamble of constitution. They are non-justiciable in nature, that means they are not legally enforceable by courts in case of violation. But they also help the courts in examining and determing the constitutional validity of law.
