Meteors are small planetary bodies which often enter Earth atmosphere and get burnt due to friction. They appear as bright as objects and are called shooting stars. The scientists believe that some Asteroids often collide with each other and break into small pieces while revolving in their planets.
A few meteors of large size do not get burnt. Parts of them fall on the surface of the Earth. These are called Meteorites.
