precisely for the same reason RTI is necessary. The length and breadth of the country coupled with more than a hundred dialects and a billion plus population to managed and all the political and administrative work being carried out at micro and macro level involves billion plus money!

The entire scenario is overwhelming and humongous. The RTI right to information is a tool to know the whereabouts and the action taken by the concerned authority without being inquisitive and a pain!

There is a road in front of your house which is perpetually broken or under repair throughput the year, as a citizen it is well within your rights to know the expenditure details including the details of the contractor assigned to do the repairs.

There are beggars in your residential area/society , you can seek information from the Social Welfare Department/ Lical Police regarding the rehabilitation and removal of the beggars. And so on so forth.
