Karl Marx was a socialist who invented the very idea of communism
He was against private property
He said that the capitalist owners of factories exploited the labour and kept the capital earns with themselves and do not pay the worker enough money
To be free from this, private property would need to be abolished. People must socially control the land with them and divide the capital acquired equally according to the needs
