People of bastar believed deeply in village & its offerings . since, the village people know the boundaries  of the village , they look after the natural resources . if people from a village want to take some wood frm the forests of another village, they pay a small fee called devsari , dand or man in exchange . some villages also protect their forests by engaging watchmen.

2) 70℅ of total population of bastar comprises of tribes
3) while , 26.7℅ population is of tribes of chhattishgrah
4) Here the major tribes are Gond , Maria, Bhatra , Muriya , Halba etc
