Maintenance by Platelets

• In-state of any damage/harm when bleeding happens, lack of blood  the system has to be reduced. Because Leakage leads to loss of pressure which decreases the efficiency of the pumping  system. To stop this, blood has platelet cells that circulate throughout the body and form a mesh-like network  or clot at the site of injury.  
• Hence, blood clotting is a mechanism that restricts   loss of blood from the site of an injury or cut by  forming a blood clot.
