  • Naxalism is based on the Maoist Ideology which is a form of Communism. Mao Tse- Sung devised this doctrine which uses a combination of armed rebellion, mass deployment along strategic alliances.

  • This form of Maoist ideology is developed on the basis of the Communist Revolution in China. In India, Kanu Sanyal and Charu Mazumdar are the prime figures of the Naxalite Movement. Naxalites want to revolutionize power by taking power into their own hands. Hence, they undertake all forms of violence like attacks on the military and government. In major cases, a bomb explosion may take place.

  • The peasants in India are the ones who indulge in Naxalite activities. Mainly parts of West Bengal and Chhattisgarh are engaged in this activity.

  • Over time, the movement spread to other states of India as well. But, with time, people have stopped engaging in the Naxalite Movement due to increasing violence and exploitation.

  • The Communist Party of India which has a Marxist- Leninist ideology is the largest existing political party that has some power in hand.

  • Laborers and landless specialists eagerly upheld the Naxalites. Notwithstanding, over some undefined time frames mainstream uphold has declined because of unpredictable brutality and misuse of individuals.

  • This Movement has spread to more than 13 states. The most influenced states are Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

  • Individuals' War Group (PWG) and the Maoist Communist Center (MCC) are two significant Naxal associations.
