Explanation:

Artificial Silk :

Artificial silk is known as Rayon. The source material for Rayon is wood pulp. It is only fibre obtained from plant cellulose. It is prepared by adding several chemicals.

Nylon :

Nylon is a synthetic fibre. It is prepared from coal, water, and air. Nylon is strong , elastic and light in weight. It catches the fire easily.

Acrylic :  Acrylic is a man-made fibre. Acrylic is known as artificial wool or synthetic wool because it resembles wool. Acrylic is cheaper than natural wool and can be dyed in various colour. This makes acrylic is very popular among other fabrics.

Spandex : Spandex is a synthetic polymer. Chemically, it is made up of a long-chain polyglycol combined with a short diisocyanate, and contains at least 85% polyurethane. It is an elastomer, which means it can be stretched to a certain degree and it recoils when released.

answer (a)

Artificial silk or art silk is any synthetic fiber which resembles silk, but typically costs less to produce. Frequently, "artificial silk" is just a synonym for rayon. When made out of bamboo viscose it is also sometimes called bamboo silk

answer (b)

Nylon is an artificial fibre. It is one of the most commonly used polyamides, and was first used on February 28, 1935. Nylon makes a silky material which was first used in toothbrushes. It is strong, hard and water resistant.

answer (c)

Acrylic is lightweight, soft, and warm, with a wool-like feel. It can also be made to mimic other fibers, such as cotton when spun on short staple equipment. ... Its fibers are very resilient compared to both other synthetics and natural fibers.

answer (d)

Spandex is a synthetic polymer. Chemically, it is made up of a long-chain polyglycol combined with a short diisocyanate, and contains at least 85% polyurethane. It is an elastomer, which means it can be stretched to a certain degree and it recoils when released.
