The nucleus is a membrane bound structure that contains the cell's hereditary information and controls the cell's growth and reproduction. It is commonly the most prominent organelle in the cell. The nucleus is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope.

Answer: Nucleus is a type of cell organelle present in eukaryotic cells except human RBCs. Nucleus has two nuclear envelopes called nuclear membrane. The cytoplasm of nucleus is called nucleoplasm. It is also called mastermind of cell. Prokaryotic cells lack this and have another cell organelle which kind of has some similar functions called nucleus.

Explanation: It contains hereditary information and helps in maintenance of cells
