Mahatma Gandhi was one of the notable freedom fighters of India. He began his career as a struggling fighter who wanted to save his country from the British hand. He started some movements against British such as Non - cooperation movement, Quit India movement etc. During these moments, he was not used any weapons, because he always followed the non-violent policy. He helped the people of our country who helped him to fight against British. During the movement of Dandi march, he fasted for 21 days and walked more than 300 kilometers from Ahmedabad to make salt. He was loved by all. India got Independence in the way year of 1947,on 15th August. Too much of his contribution, India became Independent. Thus we can say that the national movement of Gandhi became a mass movement.
