The uniform civil code was also known as Napoleonic code.
It was introduced in the year 1804 by Napoleon bonaparte.
According to this uniform civil code :-
1. All privileges based on birth were removed.
2. Restrictions on the guilds and traders were removed.
3. Transportation and communication system was improved.
4. Standardised weights and measures were also introduced.
