Animals as source of Livelihood Farmers raise cattle, lamb, sheep, goats and other animals simply to make a living by selling milk, meat, etc. Fishing, rearing of hens and pigs in farms also provide employment for the humans. Horses serve as means of livelihood for the poor who use them to draw carts.

Animals are useful to us in many ways. Many animals such as ox and bullock are used to plough the field. Donkey, camel and many other animals are used to carry loads from one place to other especially in villages. Animals like cows, buffaloes, goats provide us milk.

• Plants gives us many useful things like :- Food,fiber,shelter etc.
• Plants also produce medicines, which are really good to maintain health.

Advantages of animals:-

• Some animals are known for reducing stress and can make you feel comfortable eg:-dogs.
• Animals provide us wool,shelter,skin for leather etc.
• Without wild animals the ecosystem would fall out of balance.
