Cell membrane is also known as plasma membrane. It allows the movements of only some substances across it. Thus cell membrane is also called selectively permeable,

Cell wall: It is an additional layer present over the cell membrane. It is a rigid not living cell make up of cellulose, it gives shape and protection to plant. Plant cells need cell wall for protection against temperature variation, humidity etc.

plasma membrane and cell membrane both are same plasma membrane is also known as cell membrane

it is a membranes cell organelle which found in both plant and animal cell

it is also known as preamble membrane

in plant cell it lies inside cell wall and in animal cell it is outermost covering of the cell it is composed of phospholide bilayer .

1. it determines the shape and size of the cell.

2. it permits and exit of some food material.

3. it deny the entry of foreign food material into the cell so it is also known as preamble membrane.
