It is no surprise that very few issues have made their way to discussion tables across the globe as significantly as the environment. Come 5 June, which is World Environment Day, experts congregate to discuss concerns and remedies for the dwindling green cover, smoggy air, polluted water, global warming, and so on. The awareness should sting us so hard that we physically do our bit. But let us take off on a tangent at this point, and open up our hearts and minds to the use of emotions for healing our environment.

The environment jigsaw has a refreshingly cathartic piece that often goes missing—it's the awareness that the environment comprises not only physical resources, but also human consciousness. It includes the subtle energy or vibrations—our intentions, thoughts, emotions, choices, culture and morals—that we radiate. Once we radiate these subtle energies into the environment, they are in the air so they influence everything around us—the five elements (air, water, fire, space and earth), people, plants, animals, and the food we eat.

We create thoughts based on information, belief systems, and past experiences. Our every thought generates a feeling. Feelings develop our attitude. Our attitude then comes into action as our behaviour.

The environment we see is both a direct and indirect manifestation of the effect of our thoughts. A sum total of our individual thoughts form the collective human consciousness which is today filled with greed, lust, anger and pain.

Impact on vegetation : Those of us involved in gardening might have experienced the impact of our appreciation, care and love on the garden. If we nurture them with an attitude of gratitude for them, our energy of love, care, peace and purity radiates to them. Such elevated, positive thoughts are tied to yielding results in fast-growing, strong, healthy plants or trees.

Extrapolating this principle beyond our gardens, we can see how our intentions and thought energy influence greenery at large across the planet.

Whether we realise or not, whether we intend or not, our thoughts travel all the way to the farthest corner of the planet. Let us know that at every moment, our every thought is influencing a seed, a sapling, a plant, a tree, a garden, a forest in a distant continent.

That is how powerful we are, and that is where our power lies. While our aim should be to create nothing but elevated thoughts all the time, we can specifically set aside a few minutes every day to radiate good thoughts to the entire plant life.

Impact on water bodies : Some experiments have demonstrated that water responds to directed thoughts. Dr. Masaru Emoto who believed that water can memorise information, researched the effect of thoughts/consciousness on water and came up with water crystal photography which tells that water reacts to any information (vibration). Stanford University Professor Emeritus William A. Tiller says he and his research team "have repeatedly been able to change the acid/alkaline balance (pH) in a vessel of water either up or down, without adding chemicals to the water, merely by creating an intention to do so." (Read details about this and other related experiments here).

Over 60% of human body and over 70% our planet is water-covered, implying a huge influence of thoughts on our body and water bodies across the globe. Let us routinely radiate caring and healing thoughts to all water bodies.

Healing with vibrations

Apart from physically contributing to the environment's wellness, we have direct emotional energy towards it. In our daily prayer, meditation or chanting, we can include a few specific healing thoughts as below:

I am a peaceful being, my vibrations of peace are radiating to the space element of my physical body and the universe. I am a pure being, my vibrations of purity are radiating to the  water element of my physical body and the universe.

I am a loveful being, my vibrations of love are radiating to the air element of my physical body and the universe. I am a joyful being, my vibrations of joy are radiating to the fire element of my physical body and the universe.

I am a powerful being, my vibrations of power are radiating to the Earth element of my physical body and the universe. My environment consisting of fellow beings, plants, animals, food, the five elements is pure, clean, positive and powerful. We all co-exist in harmony, making this world a more beautiful place every day.

These thoughts rejuvenate, empower and activate us as well as our environment.

Just read a bit slow;)
