Swachh Bharat Mission or Swachh bharat Abhiyaan or Clean India Mission was a country wide campaign initiated in 2014 , to eliminate open defecationand improve solid waste improvement in urban and rural areas. It's objective also included eradication of manualmanual scavengering , generating awareness and bringing about a behaviorial change regarding sanitation practices and augumutation of cpacity at the local level.
