Time = Distance / speed = 1800/40 = 45 hours. Thus we can find the average speed as: Average Speed = (Total distance)/(Total Time) = (1800 + 1800)/(30 + 45) = 3600/75 = 48 km/hr. Hence the correct option here is C) 48 km/hr.

some of the cases for finding average speed are as follows

Speed = sum of total distance covered in different instant /total time taken in different instant

now case 1

if time = ,0 and distance ,=0

body does not move

case 2

if there is a uniform velocity means the displacement with respect to time is constant then average speed is equals to some of the all speed.
